Can I use the same e-mail address to submit personal and business returns?

One account covers both. Here's how the two requests work and who can see what.

You can use the same account to submit both personal and business returns. You choose during onboarding whether the two are handled together in one job or submitted as two separate requests.

Both returns in one job

If you own a business and want your personal return prepared alongside it, opt in to the bundled option by selecting both "Business Services" and "Individual Services" when you answer your onboarding questions. Both returns go into a single job, the same Tax Pro prepares both, and you pay once at checkout.

Bundling is worth considering if your business and personal returns draw on the same information, since your Pro sees the whole picture without you having to explain it twice. For example, you have a partnership or S-Corp that you earn a K-1 from and it's reported on your personal return.

Two separate requests

If you'd rather keep them apart, select "Individual Services" or "Business Services" when you answer your onboarding questions and submit each return as its own request. You'll answer the onboarding questions once for each. You can enter a different card at checkout for each one if you'd like to pay for your business return with a business card. You'll have the option to assign both requests to the same Tax Pro too.

Giving someone else access

If you'd like someone else to have access to your business return, such as a business partner or your spouse, contact Support via the help chat and we'll add them to the job as a collaborator. The person you're adding needs their own Taxfyle account before we can do this.

Think about this before you bundle. In a bundled job, your personal return sits in the same job as your business return, so anyone you add as a collaborator can see both. If you expect to share access with a business partner, submit the two returns separately instead.
