How can I use the same Pro I used before?
Once you have worked with a Pro you will have the option to request them when creating future jobs.
Working with a previous Tax Pro
If a Pro has completed a job for you before, you can ask to work with them again on your next one. Pros in the Taxfyle network aren't obligated to take on future work, so reconnecting isn't guaranteed. However, when a previous Pro is available, we make it easy to pick up where you left off, since they already have your history from the prior year, allowing them to complete your return more quickly than a new one.
How to choose your Pro
When you submit your next Taxfyle job, you'll be asked "Would you like to connect with a previous Pro?" just before checkout. You'll see:
- Each previous Pro who's available, listed by name with the job they worked on for you.
- Match me with a new Pro — we'll match you with a qualified Pro based on your situation.
What happens after you pick a previous Pro?
Your job goes straight to that Pro's queue for them to accept, and it isn't offered to anyone else while they have it. Reconnecting can take up to 24 hours if your Pro isn’t online or able to accept it right away. If your Pro is unavailable after that period, your job is released to the rest of the network and matched with another qualified Pro, so it never sits waiting.
Pro Tip: A previous Pro only appears as an option if they've been active on Taxfyle within the last 2 weeks and are currently accepting new jobs. If you don't see this question at all, none of your previous Pros are available right now, and we'll match you with the best available Pro.
