Which filer package should I choose?
Need help on deciding which filer plan best fits your needs, we got you covered!
Which package you need depends on what you're filing. You can compare prices for each on our pricing page.
Individual Taxes
Choose this if you're filing a personal return. It's the right package if you:
- Received a W-2
- Rent or own your home
- Are a sole proprietor or freelancer
- Received a 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC
- Own a single-member LLC
- Paid state income tax
- Have children or dependents
- Bought or sold stock or crypto
- Own rental property
- Received dividends from investments
- Received a K-1 from a partnership or S-Corp
- Are a non-resident or an expat
- Own foreign financial accounts or assets
Business Taxes
Choose this if your business files its own return. That covers a:
- Multi-member LLC
- Partnership
- Corporation (C-Corp)
- S-Corp
- Non-profit
If you're not sure whether your business files separately, see How do I know if I have to file a separate business return?.
Filing both, and filing for prior years
If you own a business and want your personal return prepared alongside it, you can have both done together by the same Tax Pro. Choose the bundled option when you answer your onboarding questions.
If you own more than one business, submit each one as its own Business Taxes request. See Can I submit personal and business returns from the same account? for how that works.
You can also file back taxes for prior years in any package by selecting the years you need filed, so you can get caught up on anything you missed. The same goes for amended filings if you need a correction to an already filed return.
