Getting a quote is hassle-free, and you'll be able see your pricing up front before you submit your work request. No stress necessary.

How do I get a quote?

After you've created an account and logged in, you'll be prompted to start the onboarding process. Obtaining a quote on Taxfyle is as simple as logging in, selecting "Get Started" at the center of your home screen and answering the simple questions provided. After you have answered the questions prompted within the app, you will find your personalized quote on the last screen.

If you're happy with your quote, you can go ahead and pay the service fees due upfront to lock in your Pro. You will be routed directly to a knowledgeable Pro who will reach out to you and get your tax return squared away.

Do I pay up front? Why was my credit card only billed a few dollars?

Just before submitting a work request, you will see two numbers: your quoted price you’ll pay upon completion and your service fee that you pay right away.

To connect with your pro, we charge a small service fee to get you in touch. Once the Pro marks the engagement complete, you'll be charged the remaining amount due for the services performed.

What are the admin fees for?

Included in your instant quote are Taxfyle Audit Protection (for individual returns only) and service fees.

Taxfyle Protection - Taxfyle provides three years of audit protection for anyone filing their individual return through the platform. The fee for this service is $5 and is mandatory opt-in for the benefit of all individuals.

Unfortunately, we don't currently include audit protection for business returns filed within the Taxfyle platform. It's always important to review your return to ensure that all relevant information is captured. You should maintain records in order to substantiate your deductions in the event of an audit.

Service fee - Taxfyle charges a service fee of $4 to cover all support, security, and database administration.

How is the quote generated?

Taxfyle generates quotes based on client responses to the in-app questions. All questions asked during submission of a work request are sensitive to the deliverable(s) that will be necessary for the engagement. Given your responses, Taxfyle can accurately determine the required forms and schedules that your Pro will need to complete.

Will my quote change?

The benefit of the upfront quote is we can notify our Pros of the commission they will collect for their service, eliminating unexpected billings. Your quote will only change in the event that your Pro finds that one of your responses to our in-app questions (used in determining your quote) was incorrect or if you ask for additional services outside the scope of your work request. Should this be the case, we typically ask our Pros to complete your job, as appropriate, and we will reach out to you for the difference necessary to cover the additional service.

How does the referral program work?

In case you noticed the refer a friend feature available within your account section, you might be wondering how it works. We'll give you and your friend $20 off each of your returns.

The referral bonus is not capped. Refer 1,000 friends, well that's $20,000 off! Free taxes for the next 40 years! If you file your taxes after your friend, you'll receive your referral bonus on your current return. However, if they file their taxes before you, your referral bonus applies to your next return.

Can Taxfyle fees be taken out of my refund?

Unfortunately, we can't deduct the fees directly from your tax refund…

The good news is your refund could potentially come much quicker than expected. There have been significant technological advances in the process of tax filing and you can usually expect your refund within five to ten days after electronically filing your return. Most refunds are received within 21 calendar days.
